Deep Tissue and Pain Relief Massage
A deeper form of massage is often used to relieve pain and muscle stress.
This involves manipulating the muscles deep under the skin and will often include
stretches and pressure techniques similar to (or derived from)
Shiatsu.
For optimum results, it is recommended that deep tissue work be done after and in conjunction with relaxation massage. This is one reason that the results of a short session focussing on one complaint often has limited and short-lived results.
